Nestled against the Gila National Forest, Las Casas de Oro cottages are the perfect combination of private space, clean mountain air, immediate access to incredible hike/bike trails on the Continental Divide and yet only 7 miles (10 minutes) from Silver City. At 7,000 feet in elevation, the cottages are situated in the historic gold-mining town of Pinos Altos, which brags an authentic (and completely refurbished in 2010) watering hole, "The Buckhorn Saloon" – a local favorite, which has an impressive lineup of live musicians playing almost nightly.

Each cottage has everything you need for a comfortable and stress-free stay... your home away from home. Come and enjoy!

The Golden House
The Golden Avenue House with 3 bedrooms plus a fold-out couch is located one block off of Main Street in Pinos Altos. This historic mining cottage has hardwood floors, a rock fireplace, washer and dryer, screened front porch, and is privately nestled behind a tall silver leaf headge.  There are apricot trees, almond tress, and native plants and herbs in the yard that hosts an outdoor fireplace.

The Main Street Cottage
The Main Street Cottage is a one bedroom newly remodeled jewel right in the middle of the town of Pinos Altos but with a private fenced back porch and patio. The cottage has an efficient wood burning stove with a fresh supply of firewood right outside the door.
